Build Your First AI Agent

This guide walks you through every step to launch a production-ready AI agent for your business.

  1. Create a new agent

    After signing in to your Pitaj.io Dashboard:

    • Click New Agent in the top navigation or sidebar.
    • Provide an agent name (e.g. Support Assistant or Sales Advisor).
    • Choose your primary language (e.g. English or Bosnian).

  2. Add training data (Knowledge Base)

    Feed your assistant data so it accurately answers queries:

    • Website: Enter your website URL and click Discover Links to index public pages automatically.
    • Files & PDFs: Drag and drop PDF product catalogs, guides, or manuals.
    • Q&A Pairs: Add exact question-and-answer pairs for critical rules (e.g., return policies, office hours, pricing plans).

  3. Customize in Designer

    Open Designer to tailor appearance and personality:

    • Branding: Set your brand accent color, avatar profile, and launcher button icon.
    • Greeting: Define the opening message (e.g., “Hello! How can I assist you today?”).
    • Suggested Questions: Add 3-4 prompt chips for frequent visitor queries.

  4. Test in Live Preview

    Use the interactive canvas on the right to test responses:

    • Ask typical visitor questions to verify accuracy.
    • Toggle between Light and Dark preview themes to inspect aesthetics.

  5. Deploy to your website

    Open Channels & Integration:

    • Copy the one-line embed script or install our WordPress or Shopify app.
    • Once embedded, the chat bubble appears live in the corner of your site.
